Last night’s live, I focused on defining moments and what that means for the month of June.
Prophetically, I sensed that June was going to be a month filled with defining moments. It is about our response in this new season. Your response to those defining moments in the month of June will determine the next level of elevation and promotion that is coming to you in the month of June.
Before going live, I sensed that a few of you were at a crossroads. I started to explain what it means to be at a crossroads. I remembered learning how to drive, and one of my struggles was navigating crossroads. I would always get tense because of the other cars coming and going in different directions. The main issue I had when I approached a crossroad was being able to discern the right time to recognise when it was my turn to go. Depending on the direction I was taking, it required a different approach in how I positioned the car.
Many of you reading this, as you approach your crossroad, invite the Holy Spirit in the moment, and He will direct you when it is your time to go and how you need to go.
Another thing I shared was that it is important not to be hasty when you are at the crossroads. Being hasty can cause you to make the wrong turn and cause an accident, delaying your arrival at your place of destiny, but being too slow in approaching your crossroad can cause a delay to those waiting behind you and those giving you the right of way.
A crossroads in this context represents a destiny decision. For many of you, the destiny decisions you are about to make will be accompanied by defining moments, and your response to these moments will unlock you and unleash you to your place of destiny. Here are a few key points on defining moments:
1 Defining moments lead you to your God given assignment, destiny, and purpose.
2 Defining moments often come from pain- physically, emotionally, mentally, and socio-economically.
3 A defining moment may come from a piercing truth.
4 Defining moments are birthed from the crisis you experience, which leads to change.
5 Defining moments often come at a time of inconvenience.
6 Defining moments take you out of your current paradigm.
So how do you know when you are encountering a defining moment?
1 You feel the need to leave your comfort zone and pursue the unknown.
2 When faith dictates your decision rather than logic.
3 Your choices are about pleasing God and not pleasing yourself.
4 When life gets harder because you are trying to do the right thing.
5 When you see God’s hand of protection over you.
I spoke about the three Hebrew boys in Daniel chapter 3, who refused to bow to King Nebuchadnezzar. Though they were thrown into the fiery furnace, and Nebuchadnezzar’s men were commanded to increase the temperature of the fire seven times hotter, this was a defining moment for the Hebrew boys. This defining moment led to their deliverance by the fourth man, and because of the miracle of their survival, they were promoted by the King. Daniel 3v30. This is to encourage those who have not compromised in those secret moments of temptation to compromise; those moments of victory have marked you for promotion in this season because your response was self-control, and you did not bow.
Prayer: Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray for the spirit of recognition to recognise those defining moments. Lord, anoint me to respond well in this season to those defining moments. Heavenly Father, help me to identify moments of compromise in my life, and Lord, please give me the strength and the empowerment to resist temptations in this season. Lord, I pray help me to be alert, conscious, and aware of the plans of the enemy, and also help me to discern the power of the moment. Lord, I thank You that You have heard my prayer, and I seal this prayer in the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen.
