Unmuzzled- Raise Your Sound

Thursday night provided a solemn yet clear instruction to become unmuzzled and raise our sound. The word muzzle means to prevent a person or group from expressing their opinions freely. For many of you reading this blog, the Lord is removing circumstances and situations that have been sent to silence your sound and voice in this season. Your sound has purpose, and it has an assignment to set the captives free according to Isaiah 61:1.

In Acts 18:9, the Lord spoke to Paul in a vision, “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent”. In verse 10, the Lord continues, “For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city”.

God was reassuring Paul in his assignment. In Acts 9, we see Paul’s dramatic conversion, and nine chapters later, we see Paul in Corinth preaching the gospel and even winning over the synagogue leader and his entire household in verse 8. The Lord was preparing Paul in verses 9-10 of Acts for the attack that was coming from the Jews of Corinth.

For many of you, God is saying the same thing: He is telling you not to be afraid because He is with you. During the live broadcast, I spoke briefly on my personal battle with the spirit of Jezebel, Python, Leviathan, and the religious spirit. These are the four forces that rise against a believer with a sound. They manifest as you embrace your anointing and start to pursue purpose. These are the four spirits that fight to keep a believer muzzled, especially the python spirit, whose sole purpose is to restrict your sound and choke the life and purpose out of you. Leviathan twists your words and causes unnecessary arguments, bringing about misunderstanding and misrepresentation. Jezebel likes to control and manipulate and tries to pervert you and your assignment.

The religious spirit misunderstands, misrepresents, and devalues the valuable message of the kingdom that you carry. Jesus refers to this spirit as swine in Matthew 7:6: “Do not cast your pearls before swine”. In other words, Jesus was warning his followers and disciples not to give what is sacred to those who will not appreciate or value it, as they trample it and turn against the giver of the pearls. The key to overcoming these forces is first to acknowledge that Jesus is more powerful and that God is the greatest power. Plead the blood of Jesus and pray the scriptures combined with fasting. Lastly, don’t give up, whatever you are gifted to do, that is your sound, and as long as you remain unmoved, that is where your victory is.

Prayer: Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You that You are unmuzzling my mouth and that You are raising my sound. Father, I thank You that You have given me the victory over these forces that have tried to fight against my sound. Father, I thank You that according to Luke 10:19, You have given me authority over all the power of the enemy and You have given me the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions. I thank You that nothing can hurt me, and because of this knowledge, I go forth, and as I go forth, Lord, amplify and raise my sound in You in the name of Jesus Christ. I thank You that according to Isaiah 59:19, when the enemy comes in like a flood that the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him.  I accept the mantle and the mandate to do as You have authorised me to do, and I will do what You have authorised me to do concerning my purpose in Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.
