Breakthrough Is Here
Last night’s live was one for the books. The fire of the Holy Ghost was so strong in me and around me last night and I truly sensed that as believers, we are about to embark upon a season of breakthrough.
Welcome to the month of August where God is calling you into a deeper experience with Him. As you embrace your true identity in God, there is a divine reset and equilibrium that awaits you which will release you into countless victories this month. You will walk in victory from a place of rest. Last night there were various things mentioned when it comes to breakthrough in the lives of the believer. In the month of August, Kairos is about to collide with your Chronos.
In my book, ‘Transition: How to Get From Here to A Place Called There’ I break down the difference between Kairos and Chronos and what this means for you as you walk into your new season of breakthrough.
Here are few key points from my book.
- Time is defined as the indefinite continued progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future regarded as a whole and is measured in hours, minutes and seconds past midnight or noon.
- Though God created time, He is not subject to time so He therefore stands outside of time. The purpose of time is to give you structure and rest.
The bible talks about three kinds of time:
Chronos and Kairos are Greek words used to describe time
Chronos – this kind of time deals with the general process of time, which is chronological. Chron in English denotes a space of time. Chronos is therefore characterised by the quantity of time
Kairos– deals with opportune, strategic and seasonal time, it deals with the present and quality. Kairos is characterised by evaluating certain events and the quality thereof. J.R. Briggs defines Kairos time as pregnant time, the time of possibility and moments in our day, weeks, months, our year or our lifetime that defines us.
Hora– this kind of time is fixed by nature and deals with the literal hour.
For this blog, I will only focus on the first two.
Chronos seems like a long wait but when Kairos shows up, everything is accelerated and fast tracked.
When Kairos invades your life, what would take you ten years, will only take you 10 minutes. When Kairos shows up, order and restoration is inevitable.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 breaks this down and there are various scriptures that demonstrates the transition between Chronos and Kairos in Exodus 3-4, John 2:4, Galatians 4:4 and John 19:30
Last night during my live broadcast, I heard the Lord say to read Revelation 3:8 “I know thy works: behold I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and has kept my word, and has not denied my name”.
I sensed the Lord wanted to encourage someone who has continued ploughing even when it got difficult and even with little strength- you kept the word of the Lord and God is opening that door that no one can sabotage or delay.
Prepare for the breakthrough and get your systems in place to receive and maintain the breakthrough. For many who has been working and not seeing results, you are about to see your fruit come forth like the Bamboo which can go five years without any growth and out of nowhere experiences acceleration and enormous growth. I called this the ‘bamboo effect’. Many of you are about to experience the bamboo effect.
Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus Christ, I ask Lord that You prepare every area of my life that is set to receive Your breakthrough. Father, renew my strength and anoint me with capacity and strategy that I will be able to maintain the overflow that is coming my way. Heavenly Father, I ask that You release the spirit of wisdom upon me and increase my discernment that I am able to discern who and where I can share my good news with. Father, hide me under the blood of Jesus from every jealous spirit. Father I thank You for the Breakthrough and I thank You for the new thing that You are doing in my life. Father, give me the spirit of recognition that I am able to discern the open door that You are opening unto me Lord. For every enemy waiting at the open door according to 1 Corinthians 16:9, I ask that Lord weaponize me with Your word that I am able to understand how to navigate and move around enemies of my progress and elevation in this season. Father I thank You that You have heard my prayers in Jesus Name I pray amen.
